This collection consists of song lyrics, "The Confederate Flag, Red, White and Blue, air: 'Gum Tree Canoe,'" composed & sung by T.L. Prevette. Co. E. 6th Georgia Regt. It is written on note paper decorated in color with a drawing of Jefferson Davis superimposed on the Confederate flags and crossed cannon.

No biographical information is available on T.L. Prevette. He is not listed in the Confederate roster under the 6th Georgia Infantry, even though the manuscript lists him as a member of this regiment. There is, however, a Joseph S. Prevatt listed in Company E of the 6th Georgia Infantry; he is listed as a musician. It is possible that the name "J.S. Prevatt" was incorrectly recorded as "T.L. Prevette" on the manuscript.
